Came here for their early-bird lunch menu. The service was excellent and the food was delicious, especially the slow-cooked beef. Will definitely return.

My wife and I just enjoyed an excellent lunch at Leeds Brasserie Blanc and I am happy to be able to tell you that.
The riverside setting is very pleasant being far enough off the beaten track to provide, with the help of the attractive dining room, a sense of intimacy and not too far to make it feel like a safari.
We were greeted and served throughout with efficiency and friendly courtesy which never became obtrusive; A perfect blend. The food was excellent in presentation, taste and in well judged quantity which, like the service, was sufficient without being overbearing.
Leeds Brasserie Blanc will definitely be on our favourites list from now on

We had a meal on Sunday evening there for the first time. And it was a good experience. The restaurant look better than the food (the french menu, but adjusted for English), but still was OK. The good thing is you can have a set menu that is available all the time not like at most restaurants for specific course. Will go again in summer time.

JUST EATEN AT BRSSERIE BLANC IN LEEDS FOR THE 1ST TIME, IT WAS BRILL. CANTWAIT TO GO BACK AGAIN. LOOKS LIKE BOOKING FOR MOTHERS DAY

Tried to get in somewhere for Mothers day and was lucky enough to get a table at Blanc's and wasn't disappointed.
Had the fixed menu which was very good value for money (£11 for 2 courses, £13.70 for 3 plus a glass of wine), even with paying the extra for a glass of champagne rather than wine.
The beef roast was from a good joint and could taste the difference compared to similar priced restaurants.
This was the third time I have been back to Blanc's and I am now sure it is my favourite place to eat in Leeds.
The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, the decor is tasteful and in keeping with the converted mill surroundings.
The service is the best in Leeds. The staff although young, are extremely pleasant and friendly without being in your face.
The wine list was impressive, based on a bottle of Malborough Sauvignon and a bottle of Sancerre, both highly recommended.
I would recommend anything from the grill, and also the snails for starters if you can stomach the thought of eating them!!

I ate at the brasserie with family for a Birthday treat at lunch time on 14 March 2009 and we weren't at all impressed. The service was dreadful. Several times I had to leave the table to find staff to ask for things (more drinks/bill etc.) yet the restaurant was very quiet and there were plenty of staff. The starters and main courses were ok but nothing special but we ended up sending the desserts back. one of our party had the fruit crumble which was basically a dish of runny fruit sauce with a very few large lumps of some hard substance on the top masquerading as crumble! To add to the effect it had poured over the sides of the dish and looked very unattractive. My dessert was chocolate pudding which was basically a very dry piece of chocolate cake with some chocolate sauce on the top. To be fair, they knocked them off the bill but as we didnt actually eat them it was a token gesture. I actually had to go to the bar to ask for our bill and the girl who I asked gave me a very irritated expression! When the bill was brought to us the girl who brought it literally slapped it on the table as she walked past! We were left feeling that our comments on the desserts hadn't been well received! One of our party was very shocked by the overt rudeness but as it was a birthday none of us felt inclined to make an issue of it and further spoil the occasion. I can cook better myself and I dont appreciate such appalling service so I wont be going back and I am contemplating letting Mr Blanc know what a mediocre offering we got from his franchise in Leeds!

We decided to give Brasserie Blanc a go at the end of May, dispite hearing 2 bad reviews from friends.
First impressions were good, the ambience of the restaurant were excellent and the staff were warm and welcoming.
I had the starter of the pear and walnut souffle and it was like rubber - it had obviously been made quite some time before being served and had been warmed up!
My choice of mussels for my 2nd course was not available (i get the impression this is a running theme at BB, things being unavailable) I opted for fillet steak which was fine but nothing more than a good pub meal.
3 of us opted for a cheesboard dessert (£7each) which came on one plate and was scarce to say the least. Having been to many excellent French restaurants in Leeds such as La Grillade, where the cheese trolley is the highlight of the meal the portion size at BB was outrageous.
Bitterley disappointed even more so when the bill was £50 per person!!
Would not recommend this restaurant and wonder if Raymond has ever stepped foot in the kitchen or whether it is simply his name that this restaurant lives off. Go to La Grillade its so much better.
Yorkshire Ladies Who Dinner
Good atmosphere, lovely restaurant, nice staff (although we were ignored on the way out ) but sadly food was not very interesting or inspirational. £16.50 for a boring plate of king prawns and chips with garlic mayo! Calves liver tasted nice but only the same as any other restaurant I've had it in - not sure why they are serving it with colcannon mash - it being a french restaurant - and where was the cabbage in it? Baked Alaska was a nice feature of an otherwise boring menu. The meal had a bit of the "Emporor's new clothes" about it. Will not be returning as there are a lot of other more interesting restaurants in Leeds.

First visit recently to the Leeds branch of Brasserie Blanc. Staff were friendly and service was great. The location is cool and the internal decor and ambience welcoming.
Food was excellent with good portion sizes (not too big and not too small)and well prepared. My husband doesn't drink wine, so I usually have to get wine by the glass and the list here was full of good quality wines. I had the white burgundy Meursault and the smell and the taste was divine!
I recommend you try it!
