Love love loved it here. It's a family-run quiet English pub. The staff are friendly and eager to help and the food is fantastic.
The menu I found was very well done, there was something for everyone, including a vegetarian menu.
The bar menu is limited but there is also a different main-menu which is alot bigger and has alot more choice (but we did have to ask for).
I'm definitely going back here again, sitting by the pond eating my dinner while watching the ducks have a paddle was a really lovely experience and I thank them for making it a very enjoyable 3~ hours of my life by being lovely hosts.

A visit to the Brook House Inn is always a pleasurable one. Warm welcome, friendly and helpful management and staff. Excellent, locally sourced, traditional food served efficiently. Informal atmosphere, idyllic location, perfect for the Summer.
Foodie
It has been our first visit to the Brook House since it changed hands and are very happy with the menu and the service. There isn't as much choice as there used to be (the last owners had a very comprehensive menu) but it was well cooked and well presented in a friendly and efficient manner and good value. We had the Ploughmans lunch which was very enjoyable.
We'll certainly go again and, weather permitting, sit outside again.
Lindsay And Linda
This was the first visit we had made to the Brook House in Heskin since it changed ownership a few months ago. It is always well worth a trip out in any case - an idyllic and unusual setting in the rolling West Lancashire countryside. We found the new owners very friendly, welcoming and cheerful- nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was wholesome, full of flavour, presented nicely, and sourced with fresh produce - and there was plenty of it! We both had chilli nachos as a starter, which were a great success, particularly when accompanied by light and fluffy battered onion rings. I had a delicious Cumberland sausage and egg for my main course, with fresh vegetables simply but effectively presented and hand cut chips. Linda tucked into a steak and onion baguette with fresh salad and chips and - a nice touch this - proper English mustard (Colman's). Well worth a trip and highly recommended.
