I was very disappointed with the service at the Buck inn Pontlliw a few Sunday's ago. The food was fine but the waitresses were clearly too young as they were giggling for most of the time. I found this very intimidating!! I will not be returning there because of this and many others will probably agree with me!! Is there an age limit for teens working in pub/restaurants? Can you let me know as this type of behaviour can't be good for business surely! Thank you for your time Mary Lewis

Me and my friends where very pleased with this place. We picked a Wednesday to go which was good as it was quiet but not too quiet! The menu has a good range of foods on it and the service was outstanding! the waitress who served us was very polite and always attentive! you will get outstanding service in this place! always quick and your not rushed at the end of the night. The food was the nicest food ive ever tasted in Swansea! it was OUTSTANDING! I opted for the fillet royale which was one chefs signature dishes! my friends had the chicken in cheese and ham sauce, lamb cutlets, gammon, welsh black sirloin and the duck! everything was excellently presented and tasted great. everyone was very pleased! Only two of us had desserts (being two full from the large portions you get). We both had homemade ones! One was bread and butter pudding with a twist! i think it was called lovers pudding. Again it was OUTSTANDING. Very well presented and tasted twice as nice! My friend had the chocolate and orange pie! Again presented lovely and i was told it was beautiful. we then had coffee to finish which was just as nice as the rest. All in all a great night. WE WILL BE BACK!

A nice little pub that has retained the feeling of being a nice little local. My boyfriend and I both enjoyed our meals (which were very well cooked), however, I would disagree with previous points about the variety of dishes on the menu. Although what they do they do very well, a few more vegetarian choices (and more original ones at that) would add to the Buck Inn's appeal. A wider choice of ales might be beneficial too. But don't be put off, it's well worth a visit.

An exciting new menu with plenty of choice to suit most people, I had the lamb shank which was excellent. The Buck is under new management which I feel has brought on good change for the Buck. I will definitely be returning again.

My fiancé and I went to the buck inn after we heard that it had new ownership. It has always been renowned for its Sunday carvery which we used to be regulars to! Until we went one evening and tried there restaurant menu! The selection of food was fantastic! The service was spot on and the price was very fair! The new owners were very welcoming and we will definitely be returning again!
