Very disappointed no where near 70 dishes to choose from only 2 chicken dishes. This is the worst buffet take away I have ever been to stay away folks you have been warned

Party of four adults for £9.50 grand buffet. Location, clean and new looking inside though stuck up a back street in St Helens town centre. Staff very attentive though wasn't sure if the continual offering of more drinks was just good service or an attempt to boost the bar takings. Have tried the other Chinese buffets in town so am rating the food via a comparison system. Hot and sour soup was bland with only tiny strips of chicken in it. No prawns, no chinese roast pork and no kick to it. Salt and pepper ribs where that in title only. Chicken curry was mainly pieces of potato with small amounts of chicken. Of course you couldn't tell they where pieces of potato as they where covered in curry. Only when you started to eat it you realised it had been bulked out. Some of the food was fine though, the crispy duck pancakes, the pork dumplings and the squid where really nice. The jump from the £6.50 menu to the £9.50 one at 6pm didn't really justify it's self. Not likely to return there but only because we felt it was not really value for money.
