About Bulls Head Hale Barns

The Bulls Head takes its inspiration from the quintessential 1920s gentleman's lounge. Expect roaring fires, hardwood floors and Persian fabrics. Cosy-up in one of the many comfortable armchairs and enjoy the wonderfully eccentric decor and the taxidermy that adorns the walls, created with the 'English Countryman' in mind. The rooftop and garden terrace are perfect for enjoying alfresco dining with four main menus to choose from, including a Banquet Menu that has three options - traditional, sandwich grazing and artisan grazing. Alongside breakfast, main and grazing menus, you will be spoilt for choice. The Bulls Head also has a superb range of cask and craft beers, eclectic spirits, fine wines and a well-stocked Prosecco and Champagne fridge. On 19th January this year, six of us had a lovely meal in your restaurant which was previously booked. Our friends travelled down from north Lancashire and we drove up from Devon to meet at the Bulls Head. Today my friends in Lancashire and I received letters demanding £60 each for parking fees at this occasion. The company is Smart Parking Ltd. based in Birmingham. Tel:0330 135 9020. We would be most obliged if you could request them to withdraw their fee because we were using your car park. I would add that there was no barrier or any signs that were obvious. However, the food and atmosphere was fine, thank you for that. Graham Ash

The food at the Bull's Head was absolutely fantastic..the Aubergine Courgette Tomato bowl was to die for, no doubt the best food I had during my trip to Manchester/London.

The first three times we had the Sunday carvery at the Bulls Head Hale Barns it was very good. The next time we went we had to clear a table ourselves and ask for it to be wiped. The food was not the same quality as previously. We overheard other patrons saying how it had deteriorated since the 'takeover'. We gave it the benefit of the doubt and went along again. Again we had to clear a table and I asked for a cloth to wipe it and was given one! I had a slice of beef and a slice of lamb and both were dry and very tough. The potatoes were dry, in other words it was awful. When we first started going to the Bulls head it was a job to find a vacant table however the last twice there was no more than a handful of diners therefore plenty of available tables.! Such a pity because it is local for us and for picking up our inlaws, etc. Evelyn Blackwell Hale

I must say that the Bulls Head have got it exactly right !! The food is fabulous and if you are anything like me, you love large portions of great food. If so this is the place for you. A cracking atmosphere. There is also live music on certain nights of the week. The Sunday carvery is wonderful.
