Booked in advance for New Year’s Day and it was closed when we arrived. I realised I got an email less than an hour before saying that it was closed today due to the oven not working. I doubt that was true as reading the other review it was closed the previous day so I would have appreciated more notice so I could have booked somewhere else.

SO disappointed with this booking.
Having eaten at Cafe Coco several times in the past,and been so impressed, we booked it for a special NYE lunch with friends travelling to Oxford.
We booked via sugarvine on the Cafe Coco Oxford website, had a confirmation email, only to find the cafe CLOSED on arrival yesterday. So disappointing (as well as embarrassing) after our friends travelling so far.
Luckily, a restaurant up the road saved the day but not what we had hoped for at all.
I can’t believe the fact the cafe was closed on NYE wasn’t made clear when we booked. If it’s closed, how can bookings still be made?!
