What a unique experience! Food and drink on a lovely boat as you tootle down the canal in the countryside. What's not to like!

What a lovely afternoon was had by all our party aboard the Search for Santa Magical Cruise. Myself, mother, niece and great nephew thoroughly enjoyed the trip and all of us got to meet Santa and his elves and we also had a visit from Olaf (the snowman from Frozen). We were served mulled wine and mince pies and all the children received two presents from Santa after we found him along the canal. Thank you to all at Canal Boat Cruises for the best visit Santa I have ever been to.

Attended a surprise party for my in-laws' Golden Wedding celebrations and it was a fabulous day out. If I'm honest, I didn't quite know what to expect but the boat was beautifully laid out with linen-clothed tables, a bar and waiting staff and the whole event went down very well. It's a very pleasant way to spend three hours, cruising down the canal enjoying a three-course meal (soup, roast beef and Yorkshires, apple pie) and watching the world go by. The marina also has a pub where you can retire to for a drink afterwards (or even stay the night). If you're looking for a meal with a difference then I would certainly consider the Romance.

Sunday 11th September 2011 was our second cruise and dine on the restaurant boat and will definitely not be our last. We treated my husband's parents to celebrate their retirement. It's just absolutely lovely. Sunday lunch with a difference. The food and service is absolutely fabulous. We would highly recommend.
