great place to eat, drink and have an affair, i love this country pub, and its so out of the way and private.Great local trade - good company and great tasting real ales - tractor lads a great laugh and they are perfect gentlemen.

Always had a warm welcome at The Carden Arms, the food is fantastic, the staff are really friendly and the locals make you feel welcome. Last time i was there i met Prince Charles who was participating in the local hunt, how cool is that??

So you're driving through the real ale wilderness in South Cheshire. Past plastic themed eateries with the same menus anywhere in the country. Worse still you drive past abandoned boarded up country pubs ripe for redevelopment,it says on the for sale board, demolition, new homes, anything but a pub.
You drive into a little village just off the A41, what do you see, yep another boarded up pub, but wait look to your right, no it's not a mirage, it's The Carden Arms in Tilston, sitting there defiant, real ales, good food, friendly service, decent beer, that's right everything we hold dear to. No ostentatious fancy new bar stools or overpriced fare, just a good old fashioned warm welcome, varied menus, great value mid-week specials, fishy Fridays, steak Sunday evenings, you name it, all great value for money and good to eat, I know sampled more than a few. Get yourself along there and enjoy a "proper" country pub with something for everyone. The Carden Arms, a beacon of light shining through the corporate dross. Don't miss it.

nice pub in a lovely little village highly recommended.

Decent pub this, one side is for the tractor boys drinking, but the other is a cosy dining area with a good mix of traditional and inventive cuisine. Proper portly landlord serves good ales and the food we ate was excellent.

This is everything that a Country Pub should be with a really warm welcome, excellent food without the presumptiousness of other restaurants in the local area ( or the price tags )
They also always have a good selection of beers with Guest Beers always being well conditioned.
Well worth a visit, but remember to book to guarantee your seat !

This pub has a new chef, and it shows, excellent dinner last Friday, they do a blackboard full of fish dishes, we had hake, seafood Tagliatelle and calamari, really good and about half the price of the awful Cock of Barton.

Just what it should be, a country pub with home cooked value for money food in a quiet setting. Good wine list at the right prices and personal service from landlord and landlady who make you feel at home.
