Awful, awful, the service was terrible, it was not busy but we got sat on a small table so when I ordered a bottle of bubbly there was no room to put it, waitress put it on the floor :( with no wine bucket, we were lost for words. ordered a fish starter (share starter) when they brought it out half the things that were listed to be on the dish so I asked an she said o yes sorry we don't have that so i said you didn't tell us so we had an option to change the starter she said o sorry. We sent it back we ordered fajitas they were awful, no taste, I could not eat them, it was my birthday and it was ruined. I could not even drink the bubbly off the floor, we asked to see someone in charge, we complained and all she said was I only just started this job, we just paid what we had to pay and left.

I'm from London and hope one day they open one up here. Been there twice now and the 2 people that tended to us John and Sharon I think they were called couldn't do enough. Place has a rustic and hence authentic Mexican feel and dishes stunning. Try the chimichangas and refried beans.

I've eaten Mexican food countless times on both sides of the Atlantic, so having read the reviews I was really looking forward to visiting the restaurant. What a disappointment! The food was reasonably well prepared, and the service was fine, but the food was tasteless - more specifically, there were no chillies. Ask anyone what's the characteristic flavour of Mexico, and they'll say 'chillies'! So where were they? The helpful waitress said it was because Bristol people don't want them. I'm sorry, but if you don't want chillies you don't go to a Mexican restaurant. It was bland. "We can put some on the side if you want them" our apologetic waitress helpfully added, but that's not the same as cooking with them. It's a Mexican restaurant, for goodness' sake. Give people the option of leaving them out if you want, but don't make it the default position. I'm sorry, but this is one to avoid if you actually like Mexican food.

I heard lots of recommendations from friends and work colleagues about this place, and I would have to say, it's ok, the food is fairly nice but I wouldn't rave about it.
I think the actual place needs to be done up a bit (it's not awful just some bits are shabby) to make it feel nicer and add to the atmosphere. I'm surprised they haven't made it feel nicer than it does as it would be relatively simple.
The staff were again ok, I wouldn't say amazing - we had to ask for our bill a few times and wait quite a while for it whilst they chatted and shut down the bar etc which is fine, however you'd just think they'd deal with the customers if they wanted to get off home.
Food was good - I have had better Mexicans. However I have heard from several people at work that it's the best Mexican they've ever had - so differing opinions! There wasn't a huge range of cocktails and the one I had wasn't especially nice compared to the same cocktail I've had elsewhere.
Casa Mexicana
Really nice mexican with fresh tasty food! The service is good but the staff have an element of there own agenda presence i.e. what they did the night before etc so you feel awkward to interupt
