Visited last night for a family celebration after reading the reviews. Yes busy but couldn't understand why?? The atmosphere is more like a café than a restaurant. Service was disorganised and we had to continually wave for attention. The food we ordered was basic Italian fayre which you would expect to be delivered right given that pizza is the corner stone of Italian food. However totally under cooked which ended with a huge mush in the middle of the plate after trying to eat round the edge. Didn't like to complain as didn't want to make others feel uncomfortable, but was finding it difficult to enjoy. Two of the others ordered pasta dishes which weren't much different in size to a starter they had ordered earlier. One dish was a pasta marinara which was somewhat bereft of seafood. The house wine ok but distinctly average and the choice was limited, wines listed were basic and a little pricey. At no time at all did the staff come over to ask if everything was ok with our meal or take time to ask if we would like additional drinks therefore service not great. We were offered desert to compensate. Overall our personal experience does not recommend a return visit or a recommendation to friends.

Just been to this retaurant and won't be going again! Had to wait 25 mins for our order to be taken despite not being busy. The staff were surly and unhelpful and the food left a lot to be desired. The chef seemed to have a passion for adding handfuls of sliced raw garlic to everything. To top everything off the card machine declined everyones pin numbers putting those of us who don't carry cash at risk of having no means of paying the bill!

Booked for for our 12th Anniversary on St George's Day - Order Champagne and asked to be made into Bucks Fizz - presented without prompting on our arrival. Superb service from attentive staff

was not really enjoyable in my opinion, The "Special" left alot to be desired and was not worth the asking price of £18. (it arrived cold and tasted awful)
My overall findings of casa nostra were that they were more focused on selling take away pizza's than the well being of their table diners, and this shows in the quality of food.
My advice would be to make the extra 10 minute journey to La Scala just up the road were the food is freshly made by authentic Italian chefs.

I went to Casa Nostra one Sunday Evening with my Wife & Child and was very disappointed the place needs a major make over, I have not been in here for years and it has not changed. The chairs tables and bar, looks like something from a dodgy Labour Club in the 70's. The food is not good either and we will not go again. Thanks

Been visiting this restaurant for a number of years now and can honestly say we have never been disappointed. Service and food is always excellent and the weekday specials are great value for money.
They will always accommodate changes to the dishes e.g. my husband always asks for chicken in the carbonara and penne pasta rather than spaghetti and requests like this are never a problem because everything is freshly made.
You can visit more expensive Italian restaurants nearby but you will get less quality food! I would highly recommend this restaurant - it's worth a try for a cheap weekday meal or a nice weekend treat.

Casa Nostra is still the best italian in Bolton. After all these years nothing is changed. We went on tuesday nite and
we reserved a table for four near the window. The service was excellent and the food even better.
Me and my husband we like it so much that we go two times a week and every wedding anniversary. We do recommend this restaurant to anyone especially during the week (LIVE MUSIC!!!!).
