My cousin and I have not visited this bar before , (I was last here in the days when it was called the Blue Bell ! ) But saw the board outside about morning coffee and decided to give it a try. I MUST SAY THE LATTE AND CAPPUCCINO were delicious and we thought we would come back after shopping and sample the evening menu . At a quarter to 5 pm , we went back and my cousin went to the bar the offer before 5 pm is buy 2 glasses of wine and get the rest of the bottle free , a great offer we thought we would try. After several mins of waiting at the bar she was eventually the assistant tore themselves from their conversation to serve her to be told it was now 5pm and the offer was finished ! As I was sat in front of the tv and could clearly see it was only 5pm when she got back to the table . If she had been served in the first place there was 5 mins left , needless to say we left and went to eat elsewhere . Less chat and more service would have gained you 2 new customers .

My husband and I visited with our 3 yr old son who has autism. He was hungry and wanted 'sausage and mash his favourite, however when I asked for a child's portion I was told I had to order an adult meal as well, my husband and I didn't want any food, we'd ordered drinks for ourselves but wasn't hungry. So I said ok I'll have a portion of chips and a child's sausage and mash. I was told no I had to order more. The moral of the story is this pub/ cafe/ bar is not family friendly and we had to explains to our son he couldn't eat there which caused us substantial problems when we left. We ate in cole brothers where children can eat without their parents having to buy food to waste.
