Have a lovely time when we went to hollingworth lake, we also went into Charlottes cafe and had a lovely meal! The staff were very nice friendly. We will be visiting again.

My husband and I have just been to Charlottes, I ordered a bacon on toast, it was burnt toast and like eating cardboard, bacon was hard, he ordered bacon and egg barn, bacon again hard, had to wait half an hour for our food, asked for de caf tea, told they don't have decaf, hardly any of the spotlights were working, sat more or less in the dark, staff singing loudly out of tune in the kitchen, waitresses offered no apologies or reason for the long wait in a half empty restaurant, what a crazy experience !

Me and my friend often go out for meals we had heard great reviews in the past about 'Charlottes Cafe' at Hollingworth lake Littlebrough. The Cafe has recently reopened for summer and refurbed. However last week we went for lunch there, the cafe was quiet, staff were OK polite, food was awful. My friend had cheese pie chips and peas the cheese pie looked as if it had been frozen and defrosted the cheese was all stringy and congealed together, i had scampi and chips which was just oven chips and frozen scampi which had been cooked. We ended up leaving our meals. It is fair to say we were extremely disappointed with the food here. We were looking forward to lovely home cooked food. Even the hot chocolates we had were watery and disgusting. Moreover the meal cost us just short of £20.00! I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone.

just visited hollinworth lake for the second time went in the beach last visit food quite plain and microwaved this time we tried charlottes the welcome was great the staff was very efficient and the food was all home cooked definitely worth a visit

I would not recommend Charlottes Restaurant. Very poor service, food average, prices are high for what you get. Don't complain or will be confronted with rudeness and arrogance.

Worst restaurant i have ever been to went with my wife and son mid Oct 2010 Staff were abrupt and seemed unhappy to be there But worst, my wife was served fish that was off Over priced bad food and bad service total waste of a nice location!
