A group of 8 had a terrific meal there and we have been since and have recommended Checco's to our friends

We have dined at Checco's on many occasions midweek and weekends and no matter how busy they are they are always very attentive and we cannot fault the food and overall atmosphere. You never feel rushed either. Even the special lunch menu does not compromise on quality and value. Excellent ! the best in town!

I visited Checco's on a Saturday night to celebrate my birthday with 'the girls'. An extra person turned up but they happily added another place to the table without fuss. The food was yummy and the service was excellent. The place has a very nice atmosphere about it. So we stayed for the night drinking rather yummy cocktails and liquors (which they let us sample before buying!) instead of heading to the pubs in the city centre. Being serenaded by the waiter with a birthday cake was a lovely touch to a most enjoyable evening.

Have been a few times here and only had excellent meals. They will accommodate what you would like to eat even if not on the menu. The place is always friendly and the service efficient.

Just visited for a Sunday lunch. Good food and service - nicely paced service. Some of the food can be generously seasoned/spiced which may take a few by surprise.... but our 2 kids ate heartily and (could have) got change from £60 for 2 courses for family of 4 - so good value too.

I haven't chosen to recommend Checco's.
The staff were patronising and condescending, for what is little more than a Pizza Express in what feels like a cheaply decorated community centre.
My main gripe against Checco's, was the focaccia bread fiasco. I ordered tomato focaccia bread, the waiter brought me garlic bread with tomato sauce on it, I asked the waiter if he'd brought me garlic bread with tomato sauce on it, he told me yes he had, so I pointed out that I had ordered the focaccia bread. He replaced my garlic bread with another garlic bread, this time I asked if it was focaccia bread, and he patted me on the back and told me it was. The garlic bread happened to be more expensive, so thumbs up in the long run. But being treated like a idiot is not going to win repeat customers or a positive review.

atmosphere is always buzzing, bar area is great for pre/post dinner drinks. adore the cocktails. makes for a great night out not just a meal out.

What a find! - fantastic food, excellent service. The 2 course menu is excellent value for money, and the Specials Board is very good too. The staff were very friendly - nothing was too much trouble.
We were part of a large group - service was slick yet not rushed.
We would highly recommend Checcos to anyone.
