This is my favourite Chinese restaurant in Birmingham, and probably anywhere. The Dim Sum (lots of Chinese starters) is excellent and there is a very wide variety on the menu. Although it is more expensive than other local Chinese restaurants I still think that the prices are reasonable. Two of us have eaten there for less than £25 between us and have been totally full up. It is usually very busy and the food is always fresh and good quality.

Tried this restaurant yesterday following on from reading comments made by diners. I was very pleased with the quality of the food and how fresh tasting it was! There was a variety of dishes to choose from. Service was excellent! highly recommended!

An excellent evening spent at Chung Ying Garden on Saturday 30 September. Our party of 4 chose to share 2 of the set meals for 2 and the speed of service was very good. The dishes just kept on arriving at our table which was groaning under the sheer weight of food. My personal favourite was the lemon chicken in honey which was mouth-watering. A good sign as to the quality of the restaurant were the number of Chinese diners. They have discerning palettes! I cannot recommend the place enough. Book now. You won't be disappointed.

Having tried numerous Chinese restaurants in both London and Birmingham during the 3 years I've been in the UK, I dare say that Chung Ying Garden ranks amongst the best in the country. In fact the quality of its dishes even surpasses that of many restaurants in Hong Kong! It is authentically Chinese/Cantonese and I highly recommend the prawn dumpling soup, roast duck (even better than the famous 'Four Seasons' Roast Duck at Bayswater, London), sweet and sour pork (crispy with an excellent sauce unlike most restaurants who do injustice to this dish) and Pi Pa Tofu with Seafood. Simply put, the cuisine here is exceptional, and this is really something considering my fussy palate. The restaurant also has a well stocked bar which makes it very popular with my British friends. Prices may be slightly higher than other small Chinese restaurants, but the quality of the food more than makes up for it. It is also good value for money if you go with a group and share the food, which comes in generous quantities.

This is my favourite Chinese in Birmingham and have eaten there many times. Food has always been very good to outstanding and they have one of the most extensive menu's I have seen. I always have the same main course I? afraid as I cant find it anywhere else, the creamy chicken curry which I have not found elsewhere. Service is always good despite the fact that the restaurant is always packed; it may be better to book ahead if you really want to eat there. Good selection of wines and beers although I always drink Chinese beer there, well you?e got to, haven? you? Would certainly recommend this restaurant.

Some of the best vegetarian Chinese food I have ever tasted. Their beancurd rolls are out of this world, and as for the sizzling aubergine.... No problems with special requests, and staff are always pleasant, if a little harried.
