Occupying a former wet fish stand inside Doncaster’s covered Fish Market, Clam & Cork is a seafood kitchen and bar that’s listed in the Good Food Guide and was given a firm thumbs up by food critic Jay Rayner in his Guardian column. The produce is, by definition, as fresh as can be with much of it coming from Grimsby, just a few miles down the road. Seating is largely along two long counters where you can watch your food being prepared in front of you and indulge in glass of fizz, wine or a cold beer. The menu offers a concise selection of big and small plates, showcasing international flavours and supplemented by daily specials.
