Clockworks is housed in a 200-year-old building on Liverpool’s Ropewalks and with its exposed red brick, steel and ironwork the carefully crafted interior reflects the city’s unique industrial heritage. It’s open every day for proper breakfast, lunch and dinner with experienced Head Chef Paul Fuller’s menus specialising in classic British dishes with a twist. Small Plates (starters) might include Stornoway Black Pudding Bon Bons with vintage cheddar, leek and roast garlic aioli or Ham Hock & Rosti with garden smashed peas, poached egg and a honey mustard glaze. Large Plates (mains) might range from hearty favourites like Featherblade Scouse and Supreme Shephard’s Pie to Chicken Breast with sweet potato and sweetcorn chowder, creamed mash, coriander & herb dressing and crispy capers. And with desserts like Chocolate Hotdog and Camp Fire cheesecake, it’s hard to say no! Everything is prepared from scratch, using only the best, traceable ingredients and the food is complemented by a drinks menu with exclusive Clockwork Signature Cocktails as well as carefully chosen wines and beers. For private parties and functions, seating within the bar area can be reserved for up to 40 people or the dining area can seat up to 50 guests with event planning and bespoke menus to suit your needs. Clockworks is an independently owned restaurant and at the heart of the Wolstenholme rejuvenation.
