Went for Sunday lunch and had the roast beef. Absolutely delicious- tender, very tasty and well cooked fresh vegetables.
Drinks a bit pricey but beautiful setting and will go back in the spring to dine outside with great views across the valley.

Went for a birthday meal with the family yesterday and was looking forward to it (mainly the hotpot). When mine arrived, it was flat and appeared to have been cooking for a long time compared to the one my daughter got. It tasted ok to begin with but as I got to the bottom of the dish, it was quite salty and inedible.
My daughter arranged for a birthday cake to be brought out. The staff were kind enough to light the candles, despite being busy but didn't bring any knife to cut the cake nor any plates. We asked for a knife to cut the cake but it never arrived. In the end, we asked for the box twice before we got it so we could take it home. No one had any cake. After looking forward to the meal, all I can say is what a let down.
May be we were treated this way because we aren't regular customers.

I VISITED THIS PUB IN JANUARY 2014. I was served with raw undercooked food. The table was dirty . I complained and nothing was done . In fact the staff were very rude and arrogant. I suffered with food poisoning and I will be reporting the pub to the food and safety dept at the council. It as more upsetting that the staff had an arrogant couldn't care less attitude..

Great cheese and onion pie. Perfect pastry with a rich and delicious inside. Nicely matched with a crisp salad. Good service in very pleasant surroundings too. The wifi allowed a good business meeting and lunch combo!

First time at the Clog & Billycock. Busy Sunday lunch and although we didn’t arrive until the back of two it was still pretty hectic. Didn’t need to wait long to get seated though and the young staff were friendly and efficient, despite the number of people there. Wife was gutted that Fish Pie wasn’t on the menu but she went for the Lancashire hotpot instead and was suitably mollified. I had the braised venison which hit the spot just right for a bracing Sunday in November. Nice pint of Thwaites Original too. I don’t think the interior is quite as appealing as their other place near Whalley, the Three Fishes, but that’s a minor quibble.

We were taken there last night by brother and wife as a treat, it was the worst meal, the worst service, also overcharged for coffees and desserts that were not ordered, served by schoolchildren and grossly overpriced.£19.50 for a steak in a restaurant with no atmosphere or ambiance rip off!!Think again Mr Haworth as this is letting your name down badly, never ever will we return. Our advise to other diners CHECK your bill.Disgraceful

Foods quite good.
Made an order for dessert and coffee after main meal.
Received coffee before puddings?
I politely mentioned to staff that we made an order for sweets and was told we should have asked for coffee to be served after this pudding order(not in the most pleasant of terms).
This attitude upset my mother who i was taking for lunch as we don't see each other often.
When she also made a complaint about this attitude to the deputy manager he did his best to talk over my mother and refused to let her speak to the main manager.
As this complaint was being made i was greeted by smug smiles by the waitress who i spoke to first regarding this matter.
We cancelled the order and left the premises.
We had recommended this restaurant to many friends in the past but wont be doing that again and we will not spend our money in a place were the staff made a point of giving us bad service on any occasion in the future.
