Great food. VERY POOR PEOPLE SKILLS!! The landlady/manageress 's attitude was disgusting.
My girlfriend and I will not be frequenting this place again

Seven of us went to the Coach and Horses today. I ordered the grilled chilli cod. Lovely. I asked for mayonnaise and an earwig fell onto my plate from the lid of the squeezy bottle. Not a problem. BUT we were very disappointed with the customer service. We were informed that the chef found the incident funny. I waited another half hour for a replacement meal - without apology. Then all my friends had finished theirs and I was still sat there. I left without having a meal and without any offer of apology to me and my friends. LOVELY FOOD - POOR PEOPLE SKILLS. Hard luck, we meet every month but not at your place!

My boyfriend and I went here for a quiet drink after spotting it whilst looking for somewhere to go following a meal elsewhere. We thought it looked like a lovely pub from outside. However, when we walked in, we instantly regretted it. It is obviously a locals pub, which I have no problem with- but the locals are SO unfriendly to 'outsiders'. We were being constantly glared at, everyone was looking at us like scum for daring to enter their pub. We did nothing wrong, we walked in, smart/casual dressed, inoffensive, and ordered two drinks. We sat down and felt forced to drink up and go as we were getting daggers from all angles, particulary one group who actually, NEVER took their eyes off us. Very uncomfortable and unpleasant. Will never go here again. I would not recomend this to anyone who isnt already a regular as you will be treated with contempt! Also, looks nice from outside, but inside, it is like and old persons living room. Very old fashioned.

I've just been to the Coach and Horses for our work's Christmas lunch (18/12/12) and had the best meal in ages. The food was served piping hot and with just the right time delay between courses. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Can't wait to go again.

Trev the pub landlord always offers service with a smile. Great great country local with good beers on offer.

Visited the Coach for a second time since it was taken over by the new owners, Vicky and Julie. The pub has now been refurbished and the real coal fire has been opened up. As a large party, we booked in advance and were made to feel very welcome. Even stayed on for the quiz (but didn't win! - maybe next time!!). Well worth a visit - fantastic pub.

What a fantastic place! Visited for the first time last weekend & met the new owners. The food was amazing and was complemented by excellent service from all the staff. Definitely recommend it to anyone - in fact, we're going to become regulars!
