About CookHouse Pub & Carvery

There's something for everyone at Prestatyn family-friendly CookHouse, which is a mix of pub, restaurant and playground. It's open from 9am for breakfast, lunch and evening meal with a children's menu too and a daily carvery served from 12 noon to 8pm every day. The carvery, with freshly cooked meat and vegetables, and the chicken rotisserie, from which you can get a freshly roasted chicken delivered straight to your table, are key features alongside a bistro menu with traditional fayre such as lamb shank and locally sourced sausage and mash complementing more diverse dishes such as chicken tikka masala. CookHouse also has an amazing ice cream parlour with a variety of flavours supplied by Welsh Maid ice-cream. Kids can enjoy a large, secure playground whilst for adults there's a great selection of wines, cocktails and our weekly quiz night. CookHouse is conveniently located at the bottom of the High Street, beneath Prestatyn train station and directly opposite Parc Prestatyn Retail Park.

Lovely meal, as usual. The staff are always friendly and helpful. There’s car parking next to the restaurant. Great menu to choose from. Well worth a visit.

Booked table for 18.00, at 15.00 received phone call to inform me all cavery had run out, ok not problem and nice to have phone call. We arrived stood at door waiting to be shown to table before realising nobody was coming, went to bar and informed them, they could not find my booking, didn't know it was for 11 persons, eventually led to table that had not been cleaned, then waited in queue for nearly 20 mins just to order, food was ok, but customer service is no existent,

Been dining here on New Year’s Day for the last five years. We always come as a group booking. This year we reserved a table for 19 people. Upon our arrival we stood at the door for 5 minutes before deciding to search for someone who could point the way to our table. Once we were shown to our table we were informed that the carvery had ran out so we would have to choose alternative meals from the menu. Having ordered our food we then waited an hour for it to start coming out. Some of our group enjoyed the meal they chose but some got cold pasta with their bolognese, and one person who chose gammon said it was dry and like chewing a slipper. We decided to order some desserts only to be told that the ones we chose had run out and that the only dessert available was cheesecake. We then spoke to the manager but all we got was apologies and unacceptable excuses. We had booked this table 2 weeks in advance. I don’t know if the management at this restaurant has changed in recent months but it did not come close to the standards we have received in the past.

The warm welcome from the beautiful girl that showed us to our seats was complemented by her great service along with the rest of the staff and the food was also fantastic. Will definetly come back, most likely next Sunday if my daughter has her way.
