I started visiting the Copper Kettle with my mum after knowing my Dad use to go when he maybe 30/40 years ago.I now go regularly and each time I go it is perfect.. The food is fresh and the owners grow some of their own produce. Food served at the Copper Kettle is hard to find these days, everything is cooked fresh when you order it. On top of all that it is also good value for money. All the staff are very friendly and welcoming..The atmosphere is so cosy you do not want to end up leaving!!

Pleasant and warm surroundings. Dropped in for a pot of tea and scone and received a lovely welcome from the owner who has owned the business with her mother for over 50 years.

A rare gem. Never seduced by nouvelle anything the Copper Kettle is loyal to it's devoted following of customers who have been coming here with their parents, now bring their kids, and really appreciate the timeless quality of the place.
Favourites with us are of course the Steak Pie, chips (always made from the best sweetest potatoes), cabbage or carrots, and gravy. Farmhouse grill is always difficult to drag my partner away from, and the fish dishes are superb.
They also have a Saturday Special, often a roast or with a seasonal theme.
The puddings are an irresistible temptation, College pudding with custard of course, and other traditional favourites.
Everything is freshly cooked and it absolutely does conform to that old stereotype - just like mother used to make. And a very reasonable bill at the end!
