The first time I came here I mentioned to the barman that I? never eaten oysters before, so he gave me a couple on the house, just to see if I liked them. I?e been coming back ever since. It? a great Irish boozer of a place, restored to its former glory a few years back by Tom Conran. Downstairs is awash with Guinness and seafood platters - upstairs is a small mix-match restaurant with a decent menu. Take away the ?rendy?media types who sometimes invade the already cramped bar, and it? damn near perfect.
