Really wouldn't recommend the restaurant - no atmosphere, cramped and really cheap looking. Food was okay but nothing special, city centre restaurants are far better, if you need something local then I'd stick to a takeaway to be honest.

We visited on a Friday evening without booking a table, Restaurant was probably two-thirds full, pleasant and relaxing atmosphere, mostly couples or groups of couples. Very good service, good wine selection. The food had a home-made look and flavour which we really enjoyed, and I understand that they don't use artificial additives/preservatives. This did seem to be the case - the tikka dishes weren't the expected bright red colour, and we didn't suffer from the usual dry mouth or "curry tummy(!) next day. The only complaint I would have is that we ordered the pickle trays, and it would have looked better, and more hygienic, to serve a fresh selection in clean trays, as it was obvious that ours had already been used by someone else.
