Dalton Rooms is Lancaster could be best described as an up-market bar, restaurant and club which has solidified its place as a well-respected eating establishment. The 50 off food offer on Monday's after 6pm is something which only a fool could turn down as the food is simply unbelievable for the price it turns out to be. The staff are very friendly and the drinks on offer are vast as the bar is huge in length and a fine selection of lagers, spirits and ales are on offer. The food could be best described as pub-style but with far superior quality. Well worth the price-tag without the 50 off as I can quite honestly say their food is better than Revolution's up the road, and that isn't an insult to Revolution's either! The drinks are quite expensive but are justified on the grounds of how strong they are/expensive to import/produce. The Timmermans Strawberry beer and Leffe Blonde (6.6 abv) is £5/pint but is definitely something which goes well with the style of the restaurant. Other drinks are far cheaper than this, but this is just an insight to how expensive it can be. The downstairs area hosts a very food quality club-area which is known to host burlesque nights as well as Latin-American style theme nights so regardless if you're after a simple meal and wine or a few vodkas and a dance - Dalton Rooms is one place to try!Notable Offers:50 off Food on Mondays after 6pmTwo courses and wine for £10 on TuesdaysBeat the Clock Menu on Thursdays (2 courses for £6-9 depending on WHEN you turn up, after 6pm)

Awful Service!!!
Having visited the Dalton rooms a number of times since its opening, I have always been happy with the food, but slightly dissatisfied with the service, I however left this down to starting up, teething problems, with any business it takes time to develop a good team of staff, as a bar in the evenings it always has a great atmosphere with a huge range of good beers and wines.
After my most recent visit however I am in no hurry to go back.
We entered the restaurant, without being greeted by any of the numerous staff stood around in conversation. We sat at a table and ordered our food and some drinks. The wait for our starters was fine, and were very enjoyable, we were not however wished an enjoyable meal. The plates were cleared away in a timely manner after we had finished, although we were not asked if everything was ok with our starters. Following this our main courses were brought out, the mash potato has gone hard on the outside, like it had been cooked in a microwave or left under a hot plate for a long time. Once again we were not wished an enjoyable meal, at no point throughout the meal were we offered any more drinks, which were both empty by the time the main courses arrived, or asked if everything was ok.
When we had finished, our plates were not cleared away for 20 minutes and we would have quite liked to order a desert but this was also never offered.
I can understand a lack of attention to customers during busy periods, but we were the only table eating at the time, and all the staff were stood around chatting, One staff member stood very close to our table, told one of the bar staff very loudly he was starting his shift at 6pm, was still stood around chatting at 6.20 with his coat and hat on.
When I got up to pay our bill, we were not asked at any point if everything had been ok with our meals and were just handed the bill.
Overall very sloppy service.
