Very disappointed! Booked a party of people 12/13 well in advance told them I wanted one table and the Deccan couldn't even accommodate us with one. So the guests couldn't speak to each other and as some of them didn't know each other and it being SO CRAMPED in the restaurant, they couldn't get up to walk round table. I booked the restaurant for convenience. The food was average and when I asked for them to put the tables together, THEY REFUSED. I wont be going to the Deccan again! Absolutely disgusting! They don't appreciate their customers and they ruined my BIRTHDAY EVENING as many of the guests weren't able to speak to each other as I had intended! Your amateurs at the Deccan! I will tell everyone that I know whats happened! Obviously I wont be visiting again!

Ten members of Trafford Curry Club ate at the Deccan on Thursday 2nd April 2009. We booked a table for 8.30pm and on our arrival there were a number of tables already in use. The decor is quite dated in the seventies style but it only adds to the charm and nice relaxed homely atmosphere. This restaurant has been going over thirty years so it must be doing something right! We started off the evening with the ubiquitous poppadums with mango chutney, onions, mint yoghurt and lime pickle. Then we had mixed starters for ten persons which all came on individual plates and consisted of Tikka Lamb, Chicken, Onions and Salad all of which were absolutely delicious. For mains we ordered a wide selection to test the Chefs competency and we were not disappointed. We had Chicken Khorma, Lamb Passanda, Lamb Kharai, Chicken Kharai, Chicken Jalfreizi, Chicken Tikka Jalfreizi, Garlic Prawns and Lamb and Chicken Bhuna. With the rice we also had a choice of Garlic, Keema and Peshwari Nan bread. All the mixed starters and main courses came together which was really pleasing. Every order was perfect with nothing missing or incorrect. For drinks we had draught Cobra and Carlsberg lager and bottled bitter. We rounded off the evening with coffees and sliced oranges. The bill came to £190 for all the food and drinks which we thought was very reasonable for what we had to eat. We really enjoyed our evening and we all agreed that the Deccan is the type of restaurant that you will always want to visit time and time again like visiting an old friend. For those who like their curries hot we recommend the Chicken Tikka Jalfreizi! Thank you Deccan for a lovely evening.

The Deccan is the best Indian Restaurant we have come across...forget Rusholme.....or anywhere else. Nowhere compares to it. The food is superb and if you don't find anything you fancy (unlikely) they will make you something up.
wonderful.
Deccan Restaurant
One of those restaurants which you can return to time and time again knowing that the same high standards will be maintained
Deccan Restaurant
friendly waiting staff; excellent food but extremely unpretentious. Don't be put off by the seventies flock wallpaper - all part of the experience!
