Booked a table for at least 8 people, for a 50th Birthday party. At the last minute (on the day we were going) they insisted via phone that we pay a £70 deposit beforehand, so they know "how much to cook" and show that we are committed. The person who's birthday it was on that day told them to "stick it". If you're a restaurant who takes advance bookings like all others do and then turns around and insists on payment up-front before they are prepared to cook for you, you will not get my custom. After all you don't get that when a mass of people turn up at a curry house, they would welcome you with open arms and bend over backwards to accommodate you. Not ever going there out of principle.

Pauline, her wonderful fiance Derek and her staff were exceptional in every single way!!!!when they catered my brother's wedding ont the 15th July 2012. I am an event organiser and I can tell you I have done a lot of weddings and I have worked with a lots of different people. and I can tell you Pauline and her staff are the best caterers and the best people I have had the pleasure to work with!!! They were professional from the very first phone call… and it was like working with a friend that I have known for years. Nothing was too much for me or my family…E.g. My son has autism and he also eats certain foods. I called pauline and ask her if there was anyway she could cook some salmon separately from him and my 2 year old daughter. Pauline didn’t even hesistate.. She said ‘of course!!’ … and cooked a tray full for them. Also as a coordinator on the day I was rushing around trying to make everything as perfect as possible. and I rushed around so much and her food was so tasty that wasnt any left for me!! But little did I know that Derek, (Pauline’s wonderful fiance) had put some food to one side for me… I couldn’t believe that he took the time out to do that for me!… I am reccomending The Deep to as many people as possible.. Because they are simply truly the best EVER!!!! And they are the only people I will ever recommend if i am doing an event or if anyone else is doing an event!..

I celebrated my 40th at Xaymaca as it was formerly called, the service was good by the food was not. Having had the restaurant formerly recommended I wrote a letter of complain and never had a reply. Sadly I will not go there again.

Good authentic all you can eat Caribbean(Jamaican) food - I have been a couple of times and the food was a real plus both times.
Drinks are a bit pricey and boosts up the cost quite a bit but this is balanced out with the food quality, set price and the wide variety of dishes on offer.
For example we went there - 7 of us 3 adults and 4 healthy eater children worked out with drinks as about £13 per head
The format allows you to be able to get the stuff you want in the amount you want in a combination you want. I will be going again
The only downside is a tad small and narrow so if you have a large group it is a squeeze
