The result of a multi-million-pound investment, the Derwent Manor Hotel is a boutique venue set in 20 acres of grounds in Northumberland’s peaceful Derwent Valley. The hotel has 56 spacious rooms, 4 cottages, a state-of-the-art leisure club and a choice of dining options in Prego Restaurant and the Antler Bar & Terrace. Prego is a stylish 80-cover restaurant offering a mix of traditional English dishes along with pasta choices and wood-fired pizzas. It’s open evenings from 5pm and for Sunday Lunch. The Antler Bar & Terrace has the warmth and welcome of a country pub with areas for eating or enjoying a cosy drink in front of the fire. And in the summer months the terrace is the perfect spot for al fresco drinks or a meal. It’s open daily from 12 noon for lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. The Derwent Manor Hotel is also a popular wedding venue with its own wedding team to guide you through every step of the process.

We came for my parents wedding anniversary on say 31st August and overall had a lovely time. They were very accommodating to our requests and the food was lovely. However when it came to the Deserts it was a bit of a disaster We had pre ordered our food and the desserts still took about 40 mins to arrive. Some of it was just kids ice cream ! I got given someone else's ice cream and , as above, they just took ages to come out. They said it was because they didn't know what they wanted us to have the sticky toffee pudding with (ice cream etc) but this wa snot an option on the menu otherwise we would have pre ordered what we wanted with it

We selected Pergo restaurant for our daughter’s 16th birthday and it proved to be a fantastic decision. Staff catered to our large parties needs very well and the food was fantastic and good value on the 3 courses for £19.99, with a free bottle of wine for each pair dining. Thank you very much for making this family event a success.

My wife and I recently stayed at the lovely hotel celebrating her birthday and had two meals at the restaurant. Both visits found us thoroughly enjoying really good food and a loverly ambiance in the restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff very friendly and extremely helpful but not intrusive. One night I had the pan fried cod which was fantastic. The breakfasts were fantastic too, well organised. We found the breakfast experience much better organised than Slaley Hall which was not a good experience. Thank you for a wonderful experience. Michael and Dawn W.

I think this is the third time we've eaten here and the food gets better every time. I got a fillet steak which was amazing and my partner got to pork chop. The service is always great and everything is reasonably priced for how nice it is!

Sunday carvery was excellent, we had the two course meal, starters looked very good but we opted for the carvery and a sweet. Meats were cooked to perfection and fell apart on your plate and melted in your mouth. Vegetables and trimmings were also excellent. Struggled to eat the sweet course which we opted for cheesecake of the day. Have been a couple of times and already booked for March well worth a visit.

We had a lovely meal I would recommend the crispy duck and cod loin, absolutely delicious We thoroughly enjoyed it and we will be back. The staff were friendly and helpful but need some training in some of the food explanations
