Very, very poor food and bad service by the boss herself. Food was cold had no taste some parts of the food under cooked. I had to argue with the boss to get my money back then when she gave it me back she took money out for a bottle of coke I didn't return. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO EAT SO CALLED INDIAN FOOD FROM THIS RESTAURANT!

Visited last night for the first time for our first wedding anniversary, wow what a find from the moment we walked through the door we realised we had found somewhere special! Desi lounge staff make you feel welcome without, the attention to detail is exceptionally good. Cutlery would could see your face in and beautiful ornate silver serving terrines. Immediately we sat down warm poppadoms and a selection of dips where brought to the table. After this we had opportunity to look through the vast and I mean vast menu. Each meal is cooked to individual specifications and we were told the chef would make dishes either milder or hotter than on the menu. My husband went for Lamb chops for starter and I had the Prawn Puri, both were exquisite! For main course we both opted for the Desi Special a chicken dish cooked in cream and served with pilau rice! We then had a peshwari nan which is an absolute must between us! We have found the best indian restaurant in the North West! We have visited many but look forward to our next visit really soon! Thanks x

I fully recommend this restaurant. We were there last Saturday evening for the first time, it will certainly not be our last time. We are returning there again this Saturday as the food was excellent, service was brilliant, the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, even the owner took time to go around and speak to every customer checking if all was ok and were they enjoying themselves. I think this shows that he cares and wants everyone to enjoy their food.
Forget the curry mile Desi Lounge will make you smile (how is that for a rhyme).

Went to Desi Lounge on Valentine's day, had a really nice evening. It's one of the best restaurants I have been to for ambiance, the service was good and most of all the food was fantastic! Definitely recommended!

Superb food ! We've eaten Indian many many places and this tops them. Everything was cooked to perfection and so tasty we didn't want to stop eating. Will definitely be recommending Desi Lounge to all our friends. :-)

We try to eat at this restaurant at least once a month, the food is always excellent, the staff, under the direction of manager, Faz, are polite, courteous and helpful. We would recommend Desi lounge to anyone and look forward to eating here for many more years.

Rusholme is okay but if you want quality over quantity get down to the Nawab Failsworth for the best curry in Manchester. If it's your first time, the Lamb Chop starter is a must. Like one of the previous reviewers, I also really rate Aloo Bukhara or Karahi Murgh main courses. You have to have the Peshwari Nan as a side order. Warning - prepare to be disappointed if you order these dishes elsewhere as they won't be as good.

My no.1 choice of curry house in Manchester for the last 4 years! The quality of the food, the meat in particular, is absolutely first class, and is the most important thing to me in a decent curry. The sauces seem to get better year after year too. It's also superbly run and is deservedly busy every time I return.
