My friend and had the great misfortune of visiting The Didsbury last night. Without a doubt it was the worst pub meal i have ever attempted to eat. I might not be a Jamie Oliver or Delia Smith but even i can tell the difference between "smash" and fresh potato, despite the managers insistance to the contrary. The meal remained un eaten mainly due to the meat being unchewable, the bubble and squeak looked liked mashed carrot and "smash" (no cabbage in sight)and everything was drowned in vinegar. A refund or apology?? absolutely not just a look of annoyance at our audacity to actually complain. A venue which most i will most definetly never visit again!

The food is amazing, lovely for a nice relaxing evening. The last few time we have been it has been understaffed, both at the bar and serving the food. Last time we had to wait one hour for our Sunday Lunch. That said I would still go back.
Cheeky!
Nice traditional cosy pub with good selection of food. We enjoyed every mouthful. The beer garden was cool especially with the new massive heated umbrellas. I'm liking all the cask ales too. My wife likes her wine so she was happy with the choice.
I wonder if they light the fires in winter?

The Didsbury pub is a truly cosy "country" pub but in the middle of Didsbury. Real log fires in Winter complete the romantic feel. Ideal place for a first date. Absolutely outstanding choice of real beers, or so my boyfriend tells me, and all kept beautifully!

Although the comments about service are true the choice is unbelievable
