The Dressers Arms at Wheelton, near Chorley, suffered a devastating fire in 2014 which destroyed both the pub and the modern Chinese restaurant on the first floor, Little Hong Kong. Both venues, now under the same ownership, have literally risen from the ashes and this family friendly pub, which dates back to the 18th century, has quickly built up a reputation for good food served at affordable prices. As well as the extensive main menu which ranges from pub classics, grill dishes and burgers to light bites, there is a kids menu and great-value meal deals available too. Booking is advisable as it's a popular venue that fills up quickly and there is seating for just 68 diners. All food is locally sourced and the bar has a good selection of guest ales, ciders and lagers. The Dressers Arms enjoys a tranquil rural location but is conveniently located close to the M61.
