Fabulous Indian meal I had there recently - the best I have been to in a very long while. Thoroughly recommend the food. Bit of a walk from James Street Station, but well worth it.

I visited East z East Liverpool last year after going to see John Bishop at the Echo Arena as a birthday treat by my daughter. The decor is very nice and the atmosphere very relaxing. The staff were faultless and very attentive and even asked the chef to cook something for me which wasn't even on the menu. The food was absolutely delicious. I look forward to visiting this restaurant very soon. As for the criticisms of other reviewers, I truly believe they were in another place because it bares no description to anything they say. As for critics about the price, you get what you pay for. If you want fast food, discourteous staff then I suggest you stick to Macdonalds and leave East z East to us more discerning clientele.!

I don't know where the reviewer talking about buffets went as I have never seen a buffet in Eastzeast. My favourite Indian, the fish platter starter is to die for.

Like Kamran Khan, last night was our first and last visit. We had to wait an eternity for our drinks to arrive, buffet non-descript, we had to queue up and wait for more food to be brought from the kitchens, only one vegetarian choice on offer, waited twenty minutes for our bill which was £47.00 odd (for two people) - which consisted of starters, main course, an orange juice and a glass of red wine. In my opinion the buffett was worth about £6.00. Would not recommend it.

I visited eastzeast Liverpool with my husband yesterday . This was our first visit and will be our last. The place is very magnificent inside but it lacks an atmosphere with it being so vast. I had booked a table for two a few weeks earlier and they could not find my booking which was not a good start. food is very expensive for what it is, we can get the same quality elsewhere for half the price. it worked out as £25 per person for a starter and a main course. There were too many staff serving us which got really confusing, at one stage we were surrounded by nearly 5 members of staff, i found this uncomfortable and intimidating. A positive is that the food tasted good but again was costly. There are many other restaurants in the area I would rather go and eat at.Overall I was very disappointed.

we visited here for tea this week and were so looking forward to it as a family treat. When we arrived we were in awe of such a beautiful place to dine the inside is very elegant. we visited on a groupon deal and were to pay for additional food for a friend. We made our selections and waited for the food to arrive. Starters came beautifully presented but lacked taste. our mains arrived shortly after and we were not impressed my food was over cooked and the rice was tasteless others in the group agreed it was not the best meal we had eaten. found this place really expensive even with a groupon deal and will not be going again sadly

Went to Eastzeast on 21 Jan 2012 food is beautiful but the waiting service is poor for a top class restaurant waiters don't seem to know who is doing what wanted 25 mins at least for each round of drinks we ordered if this problem is sorted no complaints maybe the restaurant is catering for to many people
