First time at East z East following a suggestion from friends. We were not disappointed and enjoyed a cuisine very different to what's on offer at the usual Indian haunts. This offered a refreshing change, however if you want a typical English curry they do that too - and very well. Personally for me though it's all about the meats here - we had the mixed grill accompanied by the most tasteful selection of fresh dips which were a restaurant speciality. So good - try the hot mint yoghurt or the plum chutney ! Naan breads the size of tables and melt in the mouth paratha all cooked to perfection. Friendly, attentive and helpful staff rounded off a perfect evening nicely. What more do you want ? Give it a try. Warmly recommended...

We had a group meal at the Preston restaurant and found the food and hospitality excellent. Highly recommended.

A superior Indian restaurant in terms of food quality, presentation and their take on famous Indian dishes. Service was good. The food took a while to arrive which I saw as a positive. In many Indian venues the food appears in seconds, reheated. Here it would appear they cook to order. The Chapati bread was the best I have had as it was fresh and tender. Why do other lesser Indian restaurants serve old breads and popodoms? It's insulting that such basic foods are not fresh. The place looks a bit naff. Perhaps they think it cool and contemporary. We felt it looked dated, which is a problem with restaurants who go for trendy styling. Anyway, I went for a good curry and I got one. Would recommend.

We went for a meal at the restaurant last night and was blown away by the service and food!! There was a problem with the card machines last night and we was stuck paying for our meal, we was given complimentary drinks as we waited to solve our problems and then was kindly waited on by the owner and was then informed that we could have our meal and pay the next day! Luckily our problem was solved as we was able to pay, nonetheless we was truly grateful of the restaurants kindness. We will definitely be going again, our food was amazing, the restaurant is beautiful and the service was class! Very pleased! Thankyou very much :)

I decided to take my family out to this restaurant on a Friday night, and quite frankly it was dead! The atmosphere was horrible. The waiters we very disrespectful towards a paying customer! The food came out 30 mins after we ordered but considering we were the only ones in the service was very bad,.. But not only did it take a while the food that came out was extremely cold, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone!

4 of us went to east z east on a saturday night. very busy when we arrived 2 large parties in, we were shown straight to our table, drinks order taken straight away. our poppadoms/ starters were delivered swiftly and were delicious and it all looked very promising. However the mains were disappointing, bland, tasteless, the naan breads were very dry. Plus poorly presented. The service was slightly over the top too. We must have been asked at least 3 times by different waiters during each course if the food was ok , and it got a little annoying to be disturbed so many times when you are trying to eat. Once we had finished our food we planned to sit at our table a little longer to finish the bottle of wine. we were asked to go through to the bar to free up the table. fair enough we thought they were busy, but it was now after 10pm. 20 minutes later i had to walk back through the restaurant to the toilet only to find at least 10 empty tables so was struggling to understand why we had been moved back to the bar so quickly? I have heard good reviews about this place so am disappointed it didn't live up to them. I will probably stick to the Indian nearer home instead.

Had a great meal here at the weekend. so good that we are going back this Friday for my mates birthday. Chicken livers to start, which were cooked perfectly which great spices and served on a skillet. For our mains I had the king prawn masala. I ordered the large, ate all the prawns and brought the sauce home. the next day buying more prawns and recreating the dish. My mate had the lamb, although cant remember which but he loved it. with side orders of okra, paneer and chickpeas, potato paratha and chapatis. The venue is uber trendy and always busy. a great atmosphere always awaits.
See you on Friday..

We have had many lovely visits to EastZEast in Manchester and raved about it , so when we heard one had opened in Preston, nearer to where we live we were pleased. We had the shared starter of fish, samosas, chicken etc which was really tasty and both went for the Lamb Ghosti which was delicious. Although we enjoyed the meal it did not feel like the special experience of EastZEast by the canal in Manchester. When we visit Manchester you are greeted by a man dressed in indian costume who is very friendly and welcoming. In Manchester it feels romantic and relaxed and the staff make it feel a special experience. In EastZEast Preston, it failed to deliver the same experience. We felt very rushed and it was very busy and noisy. We had not even eaten our poppadoms before another plate was shoved next to us and the starter arrived. We also felt pressured to hurry our meal as if they desperately wanted our table. We hate being rushed when we go out for a romantic meal and did not like the atmosphere there, so we will not go back. We will stick with Manchester next time!

Expected great things from this award wining Indian. Place is cool, service professional though a bit surly. Food is better than the normal Indian restaurant in terms of choice and preparation. My Chicken spinach dish had an excellent sauce and reasonable meat. My partners Lamb was far too chewy and she left it. I am always disappointed that Indian restaurants struggle getting Lamb tender. This place purports to be top class. However with meat like this it fails to be. Therefore wouldnt return in a hurry. Shame.

Busy but lovely, friendly, modern, multi-cultured, inclusive; intelligent staff, great food and service. Every dish is different and their skewered prawns are simply beautiful, great deserts too! Good prices.
