The Easy Breeze in Bowness just oozes Lakeland character. It’s 150 metres from the lakeshore down a cobbled street behind St Martin’s Church. Expect old beams, Cumbrian fence posts, local slate, cattle troughs and sheep pens – even the bonnet from a 1967 Volvo – all combined into an eclectic design. It’s the ideal spot for a quirky lunch, dinner, a light bite or hearty sharing board complemented by a selection of fine wines, local ales, bottled beer, spirits and some fabulous cocktails. You can choose to eat indoors or outside and often enjoy regular live music – even if it’s just local musicians hanging out and playing on the outdoor piano.
