Myself, two other adults and my son visited Efes on 14/09/2009 for the buffet. You pay according to the time slot you visit. There is so much variety to choose from such as salad, bread, pizza, lasagna, spaghetti, different choice of rice dishes, onion rings, various meaty dishes, cold salads (e.g. potato salad, pasta salad). To finish there are profiteroles, plus two other cakes or for the more health conscious grapes and melon. As it is buffet style you eat as much as you like. Four very hungry people tucked in and found all our tastes "satisfied" and as a vegetarian I didn't feel left out. The restaurant has a relaxing feel (we visited at around 5pm) due to the subtle background music. We left with full tummies and it only came to £28 for all four - Bargain!

Efes - lovely family friendly restaurant. Lovely food, service, prices! An early Saturday dinner for 4, including 2 birthday girls, still attracted the very reasonable Table D'Hote menu. 4 people with very differing tastes and age groups, including a diabetic, had a lovely "genteel" time! We will return.Less than 60 quid for lovely food and wine.

One of, if not, my favourite restaurant in Manchester, so much so it has now become my friendly local (although I'm not Turkish!). Fit waiters, always an incentive to visit (!) and bar staff who exceeded all my expectations. (Especially the curly haired one.) They should give her a raise, otherwise I might poach her for my own restaurant.. and sling her on my shoulder and run off into the distance with her, tequila in hand. Sorry, I meant Raki. Definitely worth a visit!

16 of us came to Efes for my friend's hen night last Saturday. What an atmosphere! The waiters did a fantastic dance and they got the bride-to-be up belly dancing. The waiters also led everyone round the room in a huge dance round all the tables. Very good food, lots of fun music...Turkish as well as the more usual dancefloor fillers. And they let you dance on the chairs! Brilliant!!!

Efes Restaurant Taverna
If you've tried other Mediterranean restaurants you'll know all about the mediocre food and high prices charged by some establishments in Manchester. How refreshing then, to come across Efes, an authentic Turkish taverna which truly expands its offering beyond kebabs and homous.
Service was very friendly and professional, whilst the food introduced us to a number of different turkish dishes.
Efes Restaurant Taverna
I HAD A GREAT TIME. IT WAS NOT ORDINARY FOOD AND THE ENTERTAINMENT WAS VERY UNIQUE. I LIKE TO VISIT THE RESTAURANT AGAIN.
