Situated right opposite the church in the charming Cheshire village of Astbury, near Congleton, the Egerton Arms has recently been refurbished with modern colours and hardwood floors. It’s a family run pub, restaurant and hotel with six ensuite rooms a bar, dining room and extensive beer garden. You can expect classic pub food alongside a selection of Italian-inspired pasta, risotto and sharer plates as well as pizzas straight from a new pizza oven. There’s also a good choice of home-made desserts. The Egerton Arms has regular live music evenings too and dog lovers can rent the secure field next to the pub for exclusive use of their pooches!

I took my mum for a meal before we went across to St Mary's Church, Astbury for a heritage open day. We both had steak and ale pie - it was stuffed full of meat and very tasty - best pub steak and ale pie we have ever had anywhere. Service was excellent and friendly. We have had several family meals here before over the years and it has always been good.

Stop off on way South. Staff very friendly and supper and breakfast both excellent. Rooms could do with some redecorating but very clean and very comfortable. Would definitely return

I took my dad to the egerton arms for lunch yesterday and not only was the food great but the service was amazing. My dad has some mobility issues and it’s really important when we go out that he is made to feel respected and included . The staff did just that, they were brilliant with everyone in there and really created a good atmosphere! Would definitely go again

We were a table of four and had a lovely meal in a nice pub atmosphere. Very friendly and service-minded staff. Puddings seemed a bit expensive, but they were very tasty.
