About Ego Mediterranean Restaurant

Right in the heart of Lytham, Ego Mediterranean Restaurant & Bar is one of fifteen Ego restaurants spread across the Midlands and the North. Each has its own individual character but all share a passion for food from right around the Mediterranean. Ego Lytham has a large restaurant area, stylish bar and a heated al fresco area out front from where you can watch the world go by. As well as a la carte, Rapido lunch and prix fixe menus there are special deals available every day of the week including a Tuesday Steak Night, Wednesday Tapas Night and Thursday Kebab Night and much more. Kids are well catered for with special menus for both juniors and little ones and there are also special gluten-free and celebration menus. Ego is open from 11am-10.30pm, seven days a week.

Dear customer service, I booked a lunch today 1st July at lytham for 12.30pm When we arrived there was only 1 table occupied. We were showen to a table set for 4 and asked to have the fifth place tagged on to the end of it. I asked politely if we could have the table set for 6. She informed us that was not possible which I could not understand as the resturantvwas empty. I suggestedwe would just go and find another resturant.  We have eaten in the resturant on numerous occasions but the service from the youg lady who I assumed was a manager was diabolical. I require an explanation why we were treated in such a way.  I have not posted on TripAdvisor todate but this will follow if I don't get an answere. Went for an early Fathers Day treat. Attentive staff but pretty ordinary food. Husband had a small steak …skinny chips and HALF a tomato ..nothing else on the plate . 6/10 .Overpriced for what it was. Mushroom starter very enjoyable 8/10. My prawn linguini was a bit short on the prawns.7/10 Why does everything seem to be with skinny chips? A good restaurant should offer a choice of potatoes.

Excellent meal last night at Ego Lytham. Our first choices were full, however I bet the food here was better. I had the chicken Milanese and my partner the hallumi kebab along with tasty garlic bread. Good service from the young team too.

Packed on a Friday night which is a good sign and there was the added bonus of a singer who started up halfway through our meal. A pleasant change from the standard Italian fare in Lytham and I was spoilt for choice with the menu. I went for the kebab in the end and the rest of the table ate off the great-value Prix Fixe menu. The food was very good and service friendly but a little slow, no doubt due to it being so busy. Will be back to explore the menu some more.

I have not eaten at Ego for an absolute age – probably about 8 years ago, in Chester I think. Strolling round Lytham on a slightly windy Club Day and there was Ego with an outside terrace and heaters. It was a good choice. The menu has lots of really different and interesting dishes from around the Med – far more varied that I remember. Spoilt for choice really so definitely an excuse for a return visit!

Was pleasant enough. I had lamb tagine which was ok 6.5 out of 10 and my partner had sea bass 7. Waitress and service good, pleasant and chatty. Fairly standard. Reasonable with bottle of merlot, afters and a coffee liqueur for £69. Overall experience 6.85 for Ego Lytham.

We really enjoyed our meal last Thursday. A nice quiet seat in the corner with a decent bottle of house red. Chorizo with red wine as a shared starter and a chicken kebab (was kebab Thursday offer) and chicken Supreme. All were good as was the polite and unobtrusive service.

Went for a friend's birthday last night and had a good meal. It was made even better by the fantastic deal they offered. We had any starter from the menu, any main course dish (including the steaks and specials!!) and a bottle of wine EACH for just £18.50 a head. It really is staggeringly good value. The service was prompt, friendly and professional throughout. No wonder this restaurant was busy on a monday night! We will definitely return if this deal remains!!
