Hmmm! No..It didn't work! Vegetables at extra cost, no bread or rolls. Were not told the lamb was off (maybe should have been informed when we were handed the menus, not after we'd studied them for 15 minutes). Were seated 40 minutes after we arrived, and left to sit at the bar on a leather couch which I kept sliding off. If we'd wanted to sit in a bar...we'd have gone to a ...BAR!

Dined here for my husbands 60th birthday. asked for a good table and was seated about a foot away from another couple even though no-one else in. Couldn't have a private conversation. The meal was very, very disappointing. Very bland. Mine was duck with lots of fat and hardly any duck and was sat in a jus which tasted strangely of fish. That was the only taste in the whole dish. Chef seemed to have forgot to season anything. Pianist didn't start til 7.45 just as we finished our meal. Not recommended. 4/4/09.

We went for a special birthday meal mid week and it lived up to all our expectations. We had walked past Embers many a time and have always wanted to go, so a birthday was a good excuse to pay that 'little bit more'. It was worth every penny though and I have to say the porcini mushroom soup is the best soup I have ever had in my life. I recommend sitting on the terrace for the ambience - you can't beat it. Even with a pre-sinner drink, a shared bottle of wine, dessert wines and three course meals, the bill was less than I expected - which was a bonus!

We went to Haworth for or silver wedding and came upon the Embers, what a lovely surprise it was a beautiful contemporary restaurant very relaxing and we had a lovely meal, on the terrace which is glassed in and has heaters. We never expected to find something like this in Haworth, would highly recommend it !

Paid a visit to the Embers restaurant on Sat 30th August.... really disappointed...very poor service and overpriced average food, loads of fish on the menu which my wife is allergic too coupled with a special Saturday menu limited the selection to no starters and 3 mains. We will not be returning and not recommending this restaurant to anyone..... regards

Great food, let down by average standard of service.

What can I say.. This has to be one of if not the best restaurant in Haworth. The food was excellent and all freshly cooked hence the wait between courses. We sat outside on the terrace veranda during the hot summer month of July and this only added to the lovely ambience of the whole evening. At the weekend there is a limited menu which is a bit pricey but once you have tasted the food you won't complain. During the week the menu is more extensive with average prices and more food appealing to young children. Highly recommended!.
