Wonderful food and always a friendly welcome. Even the bread is homemade.

After a frustrating 50 minute wait the starters finally came which were absolutely amazing - we had the VIP mushrooms and the chicken goujons. After another 20 minutes the mains finally came .......what a disappointment. We both had the sirloin steak off the specials board which was absolutely tiny and very thin and absolutely covered in sauce. For £15 it was disgusting - more of a medallion than a steak.

Wonderful traditional home cooked food; meat & potato pie to die for and the chips better than mother makes!!! traditional ales weren't bad either!!!!!!!!! definitely worth more visits

The Farmers is an excellent local traditional pub. The ambience is friendly and the food is both whole and hearty and the best value for money in the Holme Valley. The staff are particularly attentive, there are good guest beers and on the whole it is exactly the sort of pub a village needs.
