I went to Galley Hall on Friday 15 th feb To a Soul and Motown Night. First visit as we live in Newmarket Suffolk.
Family Man
We went to the Galley hall for an early evening family supper. Our party of 10 included a couple of toddlers, which were accommodated for, with highchairs, all good so far. As is the case with small children, they tend to have small bouts of general boisterousness. nothing too noisy and other customers did not seem to perturbed. After a lengthy wait to clear up our table, we were approached by a middle aged woman who i would consider to be the head waitress/bartender and were told that the children had been "constantly" screaming and that she had received complaints and if it continued we would be asked to leave, before we could pick our chins up off the table, she sauntered off!! Now you can imagine our disgust when 1) The children were generally quiet throughout the meal, to say they were constantly screaming for over 2 hours, is genetically impossible! 2) The other customers in our vicinity were waving and smiling at regular intervals. 3) The pub perturbs to be child friendly and has even recently added a playground at the rear of the premises! To say were disgusted is an understatement, we will never set foot there again and I would urge anyone with children or groups with boisterous individuals who maybe have a loud laugh for example, will be better off taking their custom elsewhere!!

We like to say a big thank for the lovely welcome this evening from the staff, good food and the good atmosphere. It was our first time at galley hall and its going to be our favourite pub to chill out.

I have visited the Galley Hall many times and I always find the staff extremely, friendly and helpful. Excellent choice of food, and nicely presented. Would thoroughly recommend to my friends.
