The Garrack Hotel sits atop St Ives, where Phil Thomas served his scallops on a very unusual black olive mash, with Sakura leaves and grain mustard dressing. No time for a lengthy engagement, this combination rushed straight into marriage! The taste of the mash and the texture of the scallops caused a gleeful conversation in my mouth which hadn? anticipated such a happy blend. The purple leaves, like clover tasting of rocket, with the mustard dressing beautifully complimented the perfectly succulent seafood.

Excellent meal in lovely surroundings. Well worth getting away from the hustle and bustle of the quayside. Very informative and good selection. Can't comment on the desserts but v. impressed all round

We have been here a few times now and always have a really good night. The food is amazing, we once had Lobster which is kept alive in a tank (eurgh!) The wine list is excellent and the service charming. After dinner you can walk round the gardens and look out at sea.
