Had been there for a drink but on Saturday took a friend I had not seen for 28 years there and boy, was I disappointed. The service was poor, they served the starters before my friend and I had even sat down. When we asked where we could put our coats, the young waiter looked puzzled and said he did not know. My starter was fine but my main meal was cold and soggy. The dessert cream was curdled by the time it reached me. Very disappointing. The meal cost £85, what a waste of a Saturday night.

A fine family run pub/restaurant in the heart of historic East Lothian. Fantastic walking country and always a warm welcome in the Inn. Weekends can be busy but the quality is always the same. One of the few remaining family run Inns. The last Inn before you reach the Scottish Borders towards Duns. A great sponsor of the East Lothian Robert Burns Connection.
