This by far is one of the BEST Italian restaurants I have been to.
My wife and I have been going to Gigis since it opened, and was a regular customer of another Italian restaurant they used to own before they sold it and started Gigis.
Service: This by far is totally exceptional, all the staff there go above, way and beyond what would usually be expected.
Even at peak times, service is warm, friendly and efficient
Food: Been an ex-chef, I like things to be almost perfect, and I’ve got to say it is definitely perfect.
The food is bustling in flavour, wide in variety, and plentiful in their portions.
From a personal choice, I can recommend the Tomato Garlic Bread, Meatballs Starter, Mozzarella in Carrozo starter.
Sirloin Steak Pizzola, any of the pizzas and penne Vesuvio is are among my favourite mains.
Lasagne is really tasty as are the rest of the dishes.
If you try this restaurant, I can 99% guarantee you will NOT be disappointed, the other 1% accounts for you can’t please everyone, and even the 1% that isn’t happy, the staff will do there best to accommodate you.
Booking is advisable especially at weekends!!!

what can I say this is the 2nd time I've been and the second time we've been disappointed, garlic mushrooms(nothing to review (pub grub standard)). prawns & mushrooms £7.95 for 3 mushrooms and 5 prawns.(but was nice. chicken main course was over cooked again so dry it had to be chewed with water.(sause nice). steak full of gristle and again over cooked.wont recommend, or be going back.

Gigis is a fine local with friendly service -but the menu seems to have been stuck in a time warp and its like any Italian meal I could have had in 1984. My Saltimbocca was ok but did it really need a cream and mushroom sauce and microwaved cauliflower? A lot of curry houses have reinvented themselves and while they still do old school dishes there are newer modern interpretations. Pudsey would be poorer without Gigis but I think they need to try something different

This restaurant is phenomenal, the menu is brilliant offering a wide range of food which suits everyone. The place is rather small but its very cosy and offers a wonderful atmosphere. The restaurant offers a great choice of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, my personal recommendation is the house white wine - it is affordable not to dry and wonderfully tantalizing. In all if your looking for a memorable night with the family then Gigi's is the place to go.
*booking is recommended

Well what can I say, been going here more or less since it opened last year and can really recommend it. The food is fantastic, great choice and always offers specials in addition to the main menu. The wine list is great, they do a nice bottle of house wine too!
The restaurant is very comfortable and always has a great atmosphere whatever night we go.
I do suggest booking before you go, its very popular so best book to avoid being disappointed!
