My friends and I had a fantastic evening at Goldbrick. We started off in the bar, where although the bar staff were a bit 'too cool for school' they were very good at what they do. We then went into the restaurant and it was buzzing on a Thursday night. The food was great, although the wait was quite long but the waitresses (we were served by all the staff which was a little odd)keep our drinks topped up etc .
When it came to paying though the table next to us asked whether the staff got the tip that was automatically added to the bill...
NO! The company takes an extra 10% on top of the already pretty heavy bill. The very embarrassed waitress told us that if we left cash on top of the 10% then they were allowed to split it.
This is disgraceful! I don't care how great the restaurant is, I won't be going back. The staff are on minimum wage whilst the company is raking it in by the looks of things. As a waitress myself in years gone by I know what hard work this is. Sorry Goldbrick, but I'm disgusted, and I told the manager so.

it's pricey, but well worth it. a diamond and it has raised the bar in Bristol. At last a London style venue, with fantastic food, here in Bristol and not an 18 year old to be seen!

My law firm had a dinner party there - 14 of us in a private room. Was a great experience. Food and service wonderful and very plush surroundings.

Heard the buzz, so had to check it out. Liked it, really liked it. Only had drinks in the top bar, but the restaurant is certainly on my list of things to do in the next month.
Found it friendly, relaxed and had a great little vibe to it. And I'm a stubborn and hard to please git.

We ate there last Saturday night and the place was heaving. The staff were totally rushed off their feet but coped wonderfully. The food leaving the kitchen was some of the best I've had in Bristol in a long time. All 5 of us agreed it's a special place. The bar was a little too busy, but we stopped, had a few than headed home. What amazed me more than anything were the customers - an eclectic mix of young proffs, middle aged couples and 'the trendies'. Perfect company and a surprising find on Park St.

Went there with family and friends for a 40th birthday party last week. It was wonderful. I'd heard so much about it from work friends so was excited to see what all the noise was about. The food was deliciously first rate - unfussy, great portions; to put it simply some of the finest I've had in the 21 years I've lived in Bristol. We had the salmon to start, the venison to follow and the chocolate brownie which was to die for. Service was also first rate, very friendly and attentive staff who were there at the side of your table whenever your eyes happened to look up - the best type of service (not too faffy or in your face). The main restaurant isn't huge, but it's very welcoming and beautifully designed. We then headed to the bar, which was exceptionally busy, but we were greeted by a waiter who showed us to some quieter rooms upstairs which had the most wonderful seats and deep sofas to fall back in and relax after overdoing it in the restaurant. We had such a wonderful evening. And we can't wait to go back. 10/10

loved it, really pleased Bristol (at last) has this kind of venue. Was a very mixed crowd, which makes it fairly unique on Pk St. Great feel to the place and the food was spot on - I had the lamb Wellington. I've heard service can be a bit hit and miss, but I didn't experience that and found all the guys very attentive and on the ball. It's my new place - going back with friends who are over from the states and 'want to be impressed'. For my money - after experiencing a rather disappointing show at Bouredux Quay, this would get my vote as THE MUST SEE in town.
