The Gonbay is a wonderful restaurant and I cannot recommend it highly enough. The staff are extremely friendly and always welcoming, nothing is to much trouble for them. The food is delicious and never disappointing, always fresh, hot and mouth watering. Its a place for families and for all occasions.

Went here for the 1st time on New Years Eve, it was significantly cheaper than its neighbouring restaurants in Hale so I was slightly dubious about the food, however I had nothing to worry about.
The food is possibly some of the nicest Chinese food I've had. Light and fluffy, fresh fragant flavours.
The staff we also very attentive, cheery and relaxed and happy to chat.
I will definitely go here again and will be happy to take visiting friends and family.

great little find! the sign outside was a little tacky but inside it was second to none! the food was delicious and the service very good - they had three large parties the night we went but it didn't mean that we got neglected! excellent chinese - highly recommended!

This one of the nicest Chinese restaurants I have been to in South Manchester. I will never go to another Chinese restaurant in this area again. The staff are wonderful, very attentive and the children are very well looked after. All my very best wishes to the owners and staff and my favourite waitress lill. P.s. don? forget to tip, they all work extremely hard.

Went on a Friday lunchtime for their lunchtime special. Was very authentic Chinese food - none of the usual stodgy spring rolls etc. Recommended
