Gorgeous venue, lovely bar area with low lighting. Restaurant just as lovely, tables not too close together. Food fantastic, retro with a a modern twist. One of favourite places to eat in Manchester, will definitely be back.

I have been to the Room plenty of times and the food and the atmosphere are fantastic. Out of all the places I have been in Manchester the Room is the best for Food and quality.

Ate at Room on Monday night and had the excellent crisp pork belly with 2 hand dived scallops. Great cocktails too, excellent in all departments

Had a great meal on Saturday night at Room - venison cooked to perfection with pistachio and chocolate. Top notch

I ate at room with friends on Thursday night. I have to say it was truly a memorable experience. The attentiveness and knowledge of the staff was fantastic. The food was second to none. Try the Beef Bourguignonne, meltingly tender packed with the rich flavours you'd expect. My pals went for the risotto and the sirloin steak. They were blown away also. While we were waiting they even brought us a taster of roasted carrott soup. Believe me i make good soups but this was off the radar.
Great job Room. I'll definitely be going back.

Room is housed in a magnificent building and has an ambience to match. Pre dinner drinks were very slow to be served, however the restaurant service was very efficient and friendly! The food was good but i found there takes on Paella and Fish Pie ludicrous and pretentious. The cost was modest with the £7 main course offer. All things considered would return.

Ate at Room recently on a wednesday night. Took advantage of their Magnificent 7 offer -all main courses for £7.00. Very impressed with setting, service and quality of the food. Liked the modern twist on retro dishes. We both had fish for mains and it was fresh and very well cooked. They have a standard service charge which I think makes the service excellent as all of the staff are very attentive. Thoroughly recommend - would return and pay full price!

Ate at Room last week and found it to be a very pleasant experience. It's quite an upmarket place, to be expected given the location, but food is well presented, with reasonable portions i.e. not full after the starter at reasonable prices.
Majority of main course dishes at £15 and all desserts at £5.
Clientele were a bit brash but you can't fault the restaurant for that.

As a first timer to Manchester was overwhelmed by the lovely surroundings in this restaurant. the staff were friendly and efficient and extremely knowledgeable about the "menu with a twist"! having dined out a couple of times during my stay I thought the food was of a very high standard and good value here and will definitely be recommending Room to friends and colleagues when in the area

Would definitely recommend a visit, food was fantastic (retro dishes with a slight twist - try the red mullet and chorizo fishcake), staff were very friendly and welcoming, we will be back soon..
