went here for Sunday lunch-ok nothing to shout about tho. I'm a vegetarian, and they had no veggie option available, the waitress said that's all they had was veg lasagna, but it was a Sunday and i wanted Sunday lunch- Also if i wanted the lasagna then i should have rang and pre booked it the day before. what a load of nonsense, isn't it the 21st century????

My advice - don't go. My mother and I went for Sunday lunch there today. I requested additional gravy when our order was taken. When our food arrived the extra gravy didn't. So, I put the gravy onto our dinners and requested another gravy boat. When the gravy was brought it was barely half full. Halfway through the meal my mother's dinner was dry, so I requested more gravy. We were told that we'd have to wait until the whole restaurant had been served to see if there was any left. Half an hour later my mother reminded the waitress: they brought the gravy out in a small dish. Needless to say we won't be going there again. The waitresses made us feel as if we were being greedy by asking for more gravy. The dinner came to £12.90 for the two of us. I don't think it unreasonable to have more gravy at these prices!

One of our favourites the Greenacre has good home-made type meals available as well as a good variety of more modern favourites. Nice atmosphere, lovely staff and friendly locals. We visit often
