Under new management (Chris & Emily are excellent hosts).the range of real ales and standard beers and lagers is well worth a try. Food is always well presented and the portions are for people with big appetites(the greyhound chicken dish and house curries are well recommended and the chef's lasagne is outstanding). Sunday lunches are excellent with a choice of three meats every weekend(you can even ask for a slice of each !)Accompanied by an excellent choice of fresh vegetables. In the winter the coal/log fires are well welcomed on a cold damp day! There is an upstairs function room which will cater for parties of up to 25 people and a larger downstairs function room with seating for about 60-70 people.
