i have been using the ghurka since it opened and eat there at least 4 times a week and due to the rudeness and extreme bad attitude of the recptionist over a peiod of mths i shouted at her on my last visit as i was so annoyed. my family and friends a total of 56 different peopple also use the ghurka regulary and now refuse to come as i am apparently barred. perhaps you need to realize that staff are there to serve the public and not be rude and bad mannered. all the other staff are absolutley marvellous and the restaurant is excellent and i would recommend the ghurka to everone. i now have a 3 people tonight coming to visit me and it was arranged 3 months ago to attend the ghurka for a meal and they are dissapointed that we can not come fo a meal tonight. yours faithfully mrs g ballance

The Ghurka was recommended to me on a trip to Blackpool. It was a fantastic value for money experience. There was a wide choice of foods all of a excellent quality (not stewing away as they are in some buffet restaurants) and the service and friendliness of the staff was second to none. I sampled quite a few of the dishes on offer but was full well before I ran out of choice.
A word of warning though. The Ghurka lamb curry, which was labelled as 'very hot', really is very hot. Not to be sampled by Korma lovers like me

Manastey , I have been to the restaurant lot of times and enjoy everything about it, the food and friendly service is exceptional and to those who haven't tried it you're missing out on a great experience as well as great food. It is very cosy and comfortable the interior is nice with authentic Gurkha land stuff.. I recommend trying a small to medium sized plate from the starter part, especially the chicken satay. I tried the mild gurkha curry and the hot one. The spicy potato Aloo Dum thing they do as well is really tasty. All in all this is great value for money, only a tenner so you can't find better value for miles. I highly recommend this place for informal birthdays and a mid week fill. The owner is a gurkha as well so don't mess! The Fine Diner Thanx Bimla for making our dining a fine experience

Never been before, but oh my will definitely be again!! Tikka masala is the best I've ever tasted. chicken satay was another favourite as was the sweet and sour chicken. In fact loved it all! Great atmosphere and attentive staff.

The Gurkha is one of my favourite places to eat (but not my #1) in Blackpool.
Nice surroundings, nice food, although there could be more of a selection on offer.
