Habesha is an old Ethiopian name and this Sackville Street restaurant is Manchester's only Ethiopian restaurant. It's a unique venue serving east African delicacies, all cooked fresh to order. Habesha has been open five years and the proprietor used to own and run a hotel in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Adaba. Everything in the 60-cover restaurant is reasonably priced at between £5.50 and £7.50 and all main courses are served with injara, a large Ethiopian pancake. Vegetarians are well catered for too. Ethiopian wines are available by the bottle and the glass and Ethiopian beers are also served. Habesha also has an outside catering service.
