About Harry’s Cafe Bar at Yew Tree Barn

Harry’s Café Bar is the award-winning café at Yew Tree Barn in the South Lakes at Low Newton, near Cartmel. The barn complex is open seven days a week and is home to a range of businesses including antiques and reclamations, gift and clothing shops and Harry’s Café Bar which picked up the Café of The Year award at the 2022 Cumbria Food Awards and is listed in the Good Food Guide. Open from 10am daily, Harry’s serves breakfast until 11.30am and then lunch from 11.45am-3.30pm. using fresh seasonal produce. Booking is not required so you can just turn up except for Sunday Lunch (Book A Table) and the Friday Supper Club (Book A Table) held on the first Friday of the month which both require advance booking.

Myself and my mum love the YTB food, especially their supper clubs so when we saw their roast dinner advertised under the new head chef Scott we had to book! The roast at £34 with a dessert included was great value for money as the roast came with all the trimmings and plenty of gravy! We literally couldn’t fault any of it and the desserts were really tasty too. Highly recommend to anybody thinking of visiting.

What a lovely evening from Harry's and the visiting chefs! Drinks outside in front of an open fire, followed by delicious and meticulously prepared food. All in a very congenial setting.

Supper Club night cooked by Simon Doherty, this was probably one if not the best meal , I have ever had. The waiting staff were great, the venue was great, the food was 5 star. If ever there was a winning combination of venue, atmosphere and a quality dining experience then this was it. I would really struggle to criticise anything about it, maybe the loos could do with a refresh, but to be honest I don't care as everything else was fantastic. Well done Yew Tree

We were lucky enough to be on holiday in Lake District on the same week as the monthly evening supper. The menu choice was superb and the actual food was delicious. Staff here are friendly and efficient and other than being drenched with rain as we walked from car to door, the evening was unbeatable, both in flavour and value
