About Herdwicks Cafe
Herdwicks Café opened in a smart new building in Coniston in October 2017 with the Yewdale fells as a stunning backdrop. Popular with both locals and visitors, it’s a bright and airy space that can comfortably seat up to 40 people. There’s an open kitchen, paintings from local artists adorning the walls, sofas to soak up the views and an outside sun terrace for the summer months. Open from 10am daily, you can choose from the menu or specials board with everything prepared fresh in-house from local produce. Specialities include the Lamb burger and Giant filled Yorkshire puddings with gluten-free options available too and special takeaway boxes. Herdwicks Café is also one of the few places in Coniston with its own car park.
